Dell Announces X51, Alienware’s Smallest Gaming Desktop, Yet Powerful (Pics, Specs And Price Inside)
Small and powerful: that’s a recipe for success, right? These are two words characterizing Alienware X51. Small as it is only 10 cm wide, 34 cm tall at its maximum point and almost 32 cm long and powerful as you will be able to see from the specs presented below. We might add it is also reasonable, as the X51 can be purchased at a price of $699 (standard model).

X51 comes with second generation Core i processors and graphics options: NVIDIA GeForce GT 545 or GTX 555with 1GB of GDDR5. Everything about this desktop is fast: the standard 4GB of DDR3 can be extended to up to 8GB, Wireless-N technology for great internet access, SuperSpeed USB 3.0 for speedy transfer of data to other devices, beside the 6 USB 2.0 ports. The multimedia part is covered more than extremely well. Alienware X51 comes with HDMI 1.4 for connecting to 3D TVs and watching 3D Blu-ray movies with 7.1 surround sound. The storage is not that bad either – with 1 TB.

A new app is the AlienAdrenaline which enables gamers to create unique profiles – these will launch a series of events when activated. For example, unnecessary programs will close in order to increase performance.

Along with Athe X51, Dell also introduced the Alienware Gaming Services – support for the latest games on the market, such as New Game Setup, Game Performance Optimization, Game Customization and Personalization, and In-Game Troubleshooting. These services come with a “No Fix, No Fee” policy.
