EA Sports Pushes Back SSX:Deadly Descents Release Date to 28 February

Bad news for the gamers, good news for the ladies. SSX which was expected to be launched on Valentine’s Day now has a release date for 28 February for North America and 2 March for the rest of the regions.

That shouldn’t upset the fans too much, as many of them have been loyal since the days the game first appeared. The fans would be patient in case of a 2 week delay but proved to be a little bit reluctant when the game was announced last year with the name of  SSX: Deadly Descents. The intention would have been to offer a slightly more authentic picture of extreme snowboarding but as its main purpose is to allow you to perform tricks that are not possible in any real circumstances, the angry fans determined EA Sports to give up the Deadly Descents part of the title.

SSX Release Date

“Over the course of more than 10 years of making games I have not worked on a single project where our team did not wish, coming down the home stretch, that we could have just a bit more time. Time to do all the little things that may not be noticeable during the first hour or two playing the game, but are appreciated over the course of days, weeks, months and beyond.

SSX was one of the games that always took the time to do exactly that. There is a reason why Tricky and SSX3 are still among the highest rated games of all time, and it is because even playing them today they still stand the test of time. Our goal from Day 1 was to re-launch this amazing franchise with a new SSX game that could live up to that legacy,” Todd Batty, SSX creative director explained the delay in a statement to the fans.
